AltaML Announces Executive Appointments to Drive Strategic Growth

Edmonton, AB, June 3, 2021--AltaML, an applied AI studio for product innovation, is pleased to announce Ontario-based executive appointments to drive continued growth across North America.

Peter Barr will join AltaML as Chief Strategy Officer on June 4, 2021, following an illustrious 40-year career with Deloitte, including an executive position as National Managing Partner of Industry and Marketplace where he managed Deloitte’s industry strategy and marketplace program. Mr. Barr is based in Waterloo, where he is very active in its globally recognized innovation ecosystem, including serving as a member of the Board of Governors at the University of Waterloo. Mr Barr has deep qualifications in strategy, governance, innovation and audit and accounting to effectively guide AltaML through its growth phase.

Rick Makos recently joined AltaML as Regional Director, North America East and Managing Director, Toronto, bringing over 35 years of experience in consultative sales, marketing, product development and professional services as well as extensive international experience. Mr. Makos is based in Toronto, and has deep qualifications in leading pre-IPO businesses and divisions within multinational corporations, as well as working with enterprise clients.
