The Interview Process

Apply

Our talent team will contact you if your application meets most of our criteria—expect a 30-minute video call. If you advance to the next round, you’ll get an email. At this stage, we won’t provide specific feedback.

Initial Screening

This is a detailed interview with the hiring manager. For technical roles, there will be a technical interview or assessment. We’ll ensure you’re well prepared and understand what’s ahead. It’s fun, we promise!

Interview / Technical Assessment

After the first interview, you’ll move to a virtual panel interview with no more than four people. This stage focuses on handling tricky scenarios and gives YOU the chance to ask insightful questions.

Reference Verification

We do these things called references. We know—weird, right? Who would give a bad reference? Well, it’s not about finding the bad—It’s about gathering more data on how to best lead and motivate you.

Background Check

Non-negotiable. All AltaMLers must have a clean and clear criminal background check.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead Brilliant Harvest's financial operations, reporting, and analysis as we scale. You will own processes, optimize systems, and collaborate across teams to drive growth and innovation.

Financial Operations:

  • Responsible for reviewing of all financial and accounting operations including:
  • Accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, monthly cashflow projection, in-house payroll, monthly close process review - including work in progress, capital asset depreciation, unearned revenue, bank reconciliation, and foreign exchange transactions
  • Quarterly board package preparation of financials and business metrics
  • Creation and management of annual budget
  • Updating of the 5 year financial forecast

Financial Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Determination of appropriate sales tax rates, and completion of government remittances

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

The successful candidate will be someone who truly enjoys providing mentorship to the team and being hands-on in the development process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications.  
  • Develop robust, reusable, and scalable test scripts using modern test automation frameworks.  
  • Perform integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms.

  • Analyze test results, report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
