Challenge

Accurately measuring eosinophil levels (EOS) concentration during an esophageal biopsy is subjective and time-consuming.

Solution

Leveraging machine learning (ML), AltaML created a solution to automatically identify EOS in digitized slide images to serve as decision support for pathologists.

Predicting COPD Severity

Challenge

Identifying the severity of the disease is critical for mitigating individual health risks and system-wide costs.

Solution

Using deep learning, AltaML created an ML model to predict COPD progression based on historical data starting from the day of diagnosis and extending backward in time up to four years to provide insights into disease progression and treatment pathways.
