AltaML Welcomes Carolynne Heron as VP of People and Facilities
AltaML, a leading North American applied AI company driven to elevate human potential, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carolynne Heron as AltaML’s new Vice President of People and Facilities. Heron will be responsible for initiating high-quality people programs and initiatives to support employee growth, well-being, and overall success as AltaML expands across North America.
“At AltaML our greatest resource is our people and we are excited to welcome Carolynne to our team,” said Nicole Janssen, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of AltaML. “The breadth of her experience in overseeing human resources will ensure our teams are empowered to do their best work, supported in their career growth, and engaged in taking AltaML to the next level.”
Born and raised in Edmonton, Heron is an experienced and impactful leader with over 15 years in human resource management. In her previous role as Director of Corporate Services at Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd., she had direct oversight for all human capital aspects including: human resources, safety, corporate communications, administration, facilities, and information technology. Carolynne is also a recognized leader in the community and currently serves as Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity Edmonton.
“Throughout my career, I have always had a passion for serving people and inspiring others towards a shared vision,” said Heron. “Tech may seem like a big shift from civil construction, however the constant variable centres around people; attracting and retaining top talent who align and contribute to the values, culture, vision, and growth strategies. I am thrilled to be joining AltaML as their Vice President, People and Facilities, to do just that and more.”
